Black Bananas Fashion story

Black Bananas is a Dutch fashion brand founded by Wesley Balknikker (31). During his internship in the Caribbean, he designed a T -shirt for a friend who then wore it on a night out. To his great surprise, everyone around him asked where he/she could buy this shirt. This was a sign for Wesley to immediately start working with a label in the Netherlands. He was inspired by the tropical influences of the Caribbean island. Think of a palm tree, coconut, watermelons and bananas. In the end he opted for a banana because the translation 'Bananas' also means crazy, crazy and cool. To make the name strong, the word 'Black' has been added. Shortly thereafter, the nameBlack Bananas linked to the logo and the brand was a fact.
